About Me

Hey Everyone! My Name is Brian but everyone calls me Duarte or "D" for short. Not sure how to pronounce it? Let me help you in a way that is easy to remember. I will give you a hint... Its what most of us do daily.... ART, its DO-ART. Now that we got that out of the way let me tell you a little about myself.

Typical young boy who couldn't stay seated for more than 15 mins. Had a hard time focusing in school, unless it had to do with art... Any art. I could sit and draw for HOURS. As a kid I grew up on Transformers, GI Joe, TMNT, Gargoyles, Dragon Ball Z, Power Rangers, and many others. Like most kids I wanted ALL the toys, but financially it wasn't easy. I have both of my amazing parents to thank for raising me right, but also learning the value in money and a persons time which is something no one can get back.

As an adult I found love again for building and collecting when it was sparked after buying my father his first HO train set. He bought me mine when I was just a little kid. He did his best to keep me from messing it up, but it inevitably happened. I always kept a memory of how much my father loved those things. So one year many years ago I bought him his own HO train set, and the rest is history.

Growing up I dabbled in everything from graffiti, to tattoo work and everything in between. I always thought the next new art form would curb that itch for creation, but it only made it worse. Having graduated with a Bachelors Degree from School of Visual Arts in Manhattan, I had a better idea on what I wanted to do going forward.

Now many years later I am slowly but surely inching closer to those dreams of owning a one stop shop studio for all your artistic needs!
